Calling your own phone: questions
Is it free to call my own phone?
Your first CallSpark call is free for up to 59 seconds on routes that cost $0.025 a minute or less, which is plenty to find a phone. After that, calls are pay as you go with no subscription.
Why do I have to sign in?
So the service can't be used to ring strangers. We only place calls for signed-in accounts, which is also how your free first call is tracked. Google or an email link takes under a minute, with no card.
Will it ring if my phone is on silent?
No. A normal call follows your silent and Do Not Disturb settings. To ring a silenced phone, use Find My on iPhone or Find My Device on Android: their Play Sound option rings at full volume even on silent.
What number will show on my phone?
A CallSpark caller ID. If you've verified your own number as caller ID in the app, it can show that instead.
Can I call my phone if I'm abroad?
Yes, as long as your phone has signal. It's handy for checking that your SIM receives calls after you land.
